Suzanne Pleshette died on Saturday, and I had always wanted to learn how to play the theme to the old Bob Newhart Show. That tune is called "The Home to Emily," of course referencing Pleshette's character, Emily Hartley. I did goof on one of the chords, which should have been an F9 and not an F11.

I'm 28 years old so I wasn't actually alive when I was in production, but my father and I always watched the re-runs at night. Hearing that theme song always takes me back. Your version is very cool. You're obviously a skilled pianist. Thanks for posting.

    November 21st, 2008 at 00:33:47 excellent :D .. if you happen to take requests :), another popular piano solo theme from that same era is the closing credits to All in the Family.. it has somewhat of a neo-ragtime feel to it, but I've always found it challenging to play by ear.. you should give it a shot! :D
